  • Welsh Water Support - Cost Of Living Campaign

    Thu 27 Apr 2023

As the cost of living crisis continues, we have a number of ways we may be able to help make bills more affordable.

By switching to Welsh Water’s HelpU tariff, customers could save up to £200 off their water bill. Find out more here.

    How could you support?

    • We’d love it if you could like and share our posts on Facebook and Twitter. We share information on support available for households, as well as tips and tricks for saving water and helping the environment. ( we will be posting information of this campaign at 2pm today).
    • We have attached a customer poster, and ask if you could kindly share this with parents, carers, clients, colleagues and loved ones to help spread the word. If you do, please tag @dwrcymru in your posts, so we can say thank you!

    • Let your clients know about our financial support packages, especially if they’re struggling to afford essentials. Our ‘here for you’ campaign is currently live, with radio adverts, billboards in areas across Wales and targeted social media posts to share information on how we can help customers, especially as the cost-of-living increases. More information on the help available for households can be found, here.

Did you know that we provide free training and awareness to third sector organisations to empower those working with vulnerable households access our free support services? Please get in touch via our website REACH if you would like to find out more.

More cost of living support can also be found  here.

Together we can do so much more!

    Thank you

  • Subject: Fit, Fed, Fun Easter half term camps in the Cynon Valley

    Tue 28 Mar 2023
     Good morning,

This Easter the WRU in collaboration with WeSoda, supported by Cardiff rugby foundation, will be running free Fit, Fed, and Fun rugby camps at a rugby club close to your school for participants in the local community aged between 7 and 14.

The aim of the camps is to provide the children in our communities who are most at need with an opportunity to eat and stay active in the Easter holidays.

The camps will start at 10am with a breakfast and the children will receive a lunch at 12.30, they will take part in activities during the rest of the day which will finish around 2pm.

All our camps will be led by our WRU hub officers and Cardiff Rugby Foundation staff who are fully qualified coaches and hold an up-to-date DBS.

There will be 50 spaces on each camp and I would like your support in sharing this opportunity via the link below with the children within your school who would benefit from this provision the most during the holidays.

The dates and venues of the camps within your catchment area and the links for participants to sign up are:-

  • World Book Day

    Mon 20 Feb 2023

    World Book Day
We will be celebrating World Book Day in our school on Friday March 3rd.
This year we have decided (due to the cost of living crisis) not to have children come in to school dressed up.
However, we would like to still take part in the fun, so this year we would like children to create a character
from a book using materials they already have at home
(eg. a hard boiled egg, wooden spoon, paper plate, toilet roll core, or a drawing etc).
Please try to create something using minimal to no cost.
    Thank you.
