Cardiff Rugby Community Foundation, in partnership with the WRU, are running Fit, Fed, Fun camps that are being run in summer holidays.
These camps are free of charge and open to all between the ages of 6-11, for a fun day of being active. These camps are being run at numerous different locations throughout our region to provide children the opportunity to stay active during the holidays, as well as providing breakfast and lunch. Although there will be some rugby based activities, these camps are open to all children, not just those with an interest in rugby, and alternative activities will also be delivered.
The camps details are as follows:
6th August – Abercwmboi RFC
10am-2pm
Breakfast served on arrival.
Lunch provided.
https://forms.gle/o7BespUnMUtjrdWE9
For the camps, all we ask is that participants bring suitable clothing, a coat (weather dependent) as most activities will be outside, suitable footwear (activities will be taking part on grass) and anything additional that they require for a day of fun activities (any medication etc).
The camps are limited to 50 participants so to sign up to the camps, please follow the link in the camp details. Once your place is secured, you will receive a confirmation email.
If there are any parents/guardians that don’t have access to computers to complete the form then please feel free to complete the registration on their behalf and liaise the details with them.
We look forward to what should be a great half term of camps.
Many thanks,
Tal Harding

Cooking on a Budget
We have been lucky in securing funding to run a cooking on a budget workshop for parents in school over four weeks.
These sessions will be running on the dates below:
Tuesday 18th June (10.30am-12.30pm)
Tuesday 25th June (10.30am-12.30pm)
Tuesday 2nd July (10.30am-12.30pm)
Tuesday 9th July (10.30am-12.30pm)
At this workshop you will be learning how to cook 3 budget friendly meals in each session, so a total of 12 meals over four weeks. The facilitators of this workshop will provide you with everything needed to make these meals so all you need to do is turn up for the session ready to learn and cook.
If you would like a space on this workshop, you have to commit to attending all 4 sessions. Spaces are very limited and will be allocated on a first ask basis.
Please contact Mrs Evans on 01443473291 to book your space.
Thank you.
Dear Parent/Carer
As you will be aware, the Council had planned to introduce a charge for the childcare provided in advance of free breakfast clubs. These proposed charges did not include learners eligible to free school meals, and free breakfast clubs would continue to be offered.
Whilst the implementation date for these changes was intended to be the summer term 2024, plans have been temporarily paused. Breakfast club provision will remain unchanged for now and will continue to be delivered as normal.
Further information will follow next term.
