  • Holiday Free School Meal Provision

    Fri 07 Jul 2023
Holiday provision for learners who are eligible for free school meals was introduced in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a form of time-limited support to help families. While there have been several temporary continuations of the scheme, Welsh Government have confirmed on 28th June 2023 that despite fully exploring options for funding a further extension, it has not been possible due to funding constraints.  The most recent extension to the end of May half term is the last. There will be no further extension to cover the summer holiday period or beyond.

  • Welsh Water Support - Cost Of Living Campaign

    Thu 27 Apr 2023

As the cost of living crisis continues, we have a number of ways we may be able to help make bills more affordable.

By switching to Welsh Water’s HelpU tariff, customers could save up to £200 off their water bill. Find out more here.

    How could you support?

    • We’d love it if you could like and share our posts on Facebook and Twitter. We share information on support available for households, as well as tips and tricks for saving water and helping the environment. ( we will be posting information of this campaign at 2pm today).
    • We have attached a customer poster, and ask if you could kindly share this with parents, carers, clients, colleagues and loved ones to help spread the word. If you do, please tag @dwrcymru in your posts, so we can say thank you!

    • Let your clients know about our financial support packages, especially if they’re struggling to afford essentials. • World Book Day

    Mon 20 Feb 2023

    World Book Day
We will be celebrating World Book Day in our school on Friday March 3rd.
This year we have decided (due to the cost of living crisis) not to have children come in to school dressed up.
However, we would like to still take part in the fun, so this year we would like children to create a character
from a book using materials they already have at home
(eg. a hard boiled egg, wooden spoon, paper plate, toilet roll core, or a drawing etc).
Please try to create something using minimal to no cost.
    Thank you.
