2018 - 2019
Summer Term 2019
Go Green Day litter pick at Victoria Park
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Cardiff Bay, taking part in the Shiver me timbers tour. It was the first time on a boat for many of us. We sang sea shanties on board then used our maps to find buried treasure.
Children performed brilliantly in our class assembly about the continent Africa this morning. Llongyfarchiadau, pawb!
We had so much fun on our trip to a Saint Fagans today, learning about life in a Wales many years ago.
Spring Term 2019
We had a visit from the local fire service who taught us about fire safety and the dangers of playing with matches.
We are grateful to the RCT Sports Academy for holding football sessions for us.
We have been busy learning about fractions in Dosbarth 2. We loved cutting our toast into halves and quarters (and then eating it).
World Book Day
We had a great day celebrating World Book Day. We completed a Where’s Wally hunt and the winners won prizes, we shared stories with Dosbarth 6, wrote book reviews and talked about our favourite stories. Our Queen of Hearts even brought Jammie Dodgers to share with the class.
Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus!
Dosbarth 2 enjoying the football training session. Diolch yn fawr, Mr Griffiths!
Thank you very much to the parents who are Angel Dream cat breeders for bringing in the gorgeous Fred and telling us all about Maine Coon cats.
Our new topic for the term is Paws, Claws and Whiskers. Children have chosen to transform our role-play area into a veterinary surgery. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit from A&S Animal Encounters to start our topic and learned so many interesting facts about the animals.
Edrych yn smart! Looking smart in our Christmas jumpers today. Diolch by fawr to everyone who donated Lucky Dip prizes to sell at the P.T.A. Christmas disco on Monday.
Nativity Story at Green Street Methodist Church
We had a fantastic time watching the Nativity Story, meeting the cast, meeting the donkeys and playing church bells.
Cardiff Blues Rugby
Cardiff Blues came in to school to teach three rugby sessions beginning on Friday 23rd November. Children thoroughly enjoyed their first session.
We have been enjoying taking part in the Kerbcraft road safety lessons, going out into the community wearing our hi-vis vests. A big "Thank you!" to the parent volunteers helping to keep us safe during these sessions.
